The Woolpack York - Unforgettable Group Getaway in Central York

Being able to meet as a family in the downstairs area.

The shower heads need attention to improve the flow of water. There was a lingering odour of staleness on the stairs to the first floor.

This was the perfect property for a ladies getaway. The kitchen/ lounge/ dining area was superb for socialising, and the host left crisps, chocolate and prosecco for us which was a great touch! The house was clean, and tidy, bedrooms were great. We loved the fact it was an old pub (although we did a few people peering through the window!) Obviously the location meant it wasn't the quietest at night, so perhaps it wouldn't suit a family with young children (the heavy fire doors may also be an issue for young children) but we absolutely loved it! Thank you!

The only negative we found was that there was a slight drain smell in one bathroom, but when we reported this to the owner, she had it in hand and someone was coming to look at it after our stay. Could do with some antibac spray and cloths but we sourced those ourselves.
