Treppen zur Wohnung zu steil, nicht für ältere Leute geeignet. Badewanne zum duschen für große Leute nicht geeignet. Von vier Fenstern bekam man nur eins geöffnet.

In a calm area. Surprisingly quite spacious and provides everything one needs for a short stay. Self-contained studio with everything you need, including basic kitchen utensils, a microwave, and a fridge (except for a TV), but the internet is very good. The studio was very clean and tidy. An airy and bright space that is also fitted with air conditioning, which is amazing given the (unusual – according to locals) extreme weather we had (34 degrees for someone coming from Glasgow, Scotland). It was good to leave the air cond on and come back to a very cool space.  I arrived early, changed my check-in twice at the last minute, and the host was okay with that 😊. 50 minutes’ walk to/from the city centre, or just get the bus around the corner, and in 10/15 minutes you are there. Restaurants nearby and a huge supermarket (Albert H XL) just a 3-4-minute walk away (got all the chocolate and sweets for the kids).  

However, I was completely surprised I was asked to pay 7,50 € extra for bed sheets and towels. I don't recall seeing this when I booked. The message came in later, and I just agreed. I'm not sure I've come across this on Booking.com before. The bedding, couch cover, and towels were all mismatched and so faded that I actually took a deep breath when I first saw them as I thought they were dirty. I was very surprised. The shower was tricky as the place is tiny for it. You have to be extremely careful not to splash, but there is a good-sized bath for those who like taking a bath. Also, if you did not bring your own shampoo or body soap, you will definitely need to use hand gel to shower/bath until you buy yours. Alternatively, you can purchase the small one offered by the host for 3 euros. This is definitely a very unusual accommodation on Booking.com. Another big surprise was the narrow and extremely steep staircases to climb (outside and inside), definitely not for people with mobility issues. But to be fair, given the price, it was a fair deal, and the host was super nice.
