Amazing Ocean View!

The view! The space! The location!

The only complaint was the motion lights outside of the house were temperamental. So every time we went up and down the stairs we used our flashlights on our phones. Really not that big of a deal.

The view is amazing! The ocean changes every day, so it was wonderful to sit on the balcony with our morning coffee and watch the waves create a whirlpool on the plateau --mesmerizing! So close to the public snorkeling area and food trucks and Foodland. Comfy beds and couch. Nicely decorated and all the amenities were perfect.

The location was perfect. We watched the whales every morning from the deck. The ease of access was also a piece of cake. The host was great to accommodate our needs by allowing an extra person and adjusting our checkout due to a place change.

Many of the outlets did not work, making some things (charging, blow drying/curling hair) a bit more challenging.

We just returned from our 2nd stay at this property. The location is perfect for exploring the north and north-east shores of Oahu and the property is large and comfortable for a group. This trip we were 2 adults and 4 teens (our last trip we were 4 adults and 6 kids) and the house was more than big enough. The kitchen has the basics, but we didn't use it much. We ate easy breakfasts at the house and had most of our other meals over at either the Kahuka Sugar Mill food trucks (15 min drive), or the food trucks by the house (5 min walk). The house is an easy 5 min walk to Sharks Cove that has great snorkeling and an easy 5 min walk in the other direction to a beautiful sandy beach (although the waves were on the larger side this trip and it wasn't swimmable when we visited in the winter). The house is close to Waimea Bay, Turtle Beach, and Haleiwa town; very easy drives although traffic can get backed up at busy times. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. The host is very responsive to any questions. The view from the back porch is amazing. It looks out over a rocky area to the ocean. Looking out in the winter we saw whales. This summer we saw a lot of snorkelers :). The rocky area and its tide pools is fun to explore. From the edge of the rocks we saw sea turtles swimming along. The rainbows and sunsets are amazing.

There were a few things that could be improved, but they were very minor inconveniences. The house has air conditioner units in the living room that cool the front of the house down nicely. The bedrooms cool down enough, but they do not get cold. Something to consider if temperature is very important to you for sleeping. The master bathroom door does not offer complete privacy, but it's easy to close the bedroom door if complete privacy is needed. Something that I don't believe can be helped with it being a tropical island, are the few bugs & lizards that can get inside. Keeping the counters clean of food and crumbs helps a lot. We stored all food in the refrigerator.

Beautiful views! The home was very comfortable, clean, and updated. You can’t beat the location. Right on the ocean, close to food & shopping. Rocky coast from property (which we loved) but short easy walk to sandy beach. Could’ve sat on the porch for days. Some gecko friends in the house, and several chickens outside, but we enjoyed all of them. Lots of beach equipment too. We had a wonderful stay (wish we could’ve stayed longer).
