The Queen Vic Hotel

I liked the view, there were 3 beds in room, my double was comfy, t tray was good, tv was good. Staff were great. Free parking. Clean room.

Beds need mattress protectors, carpets are grubby, iron leaked brown water. Need blinds on side windows.

Staff were lovely, food was good

The location is really conveniently situated right by 2 bus stops a short walk away from the beach and a variety of restaurants, the staff are amazing will bend over backwards to help and are super friendly can't fault the staff at all. The food in the pub is really good and the chef is super lovely they are really looking to accommodate any allergies or preferences you can tell they care alot about the quality of food they put out and I'd say the price you pay is worth it. The portion sizes are decent for the price also. The room is very basic but you get what you pay for we paid 200 for 4 nights breakfast isn't included which is relatively cheap considering the prices of rival hotels in the area and we found that it did what it said on the tin. is a good base and if you get bored there is a pub right downstairs.

The room didn't have much personality and was kind of cold and we had some teething problems at the start where our electric in our room tripped, the fire alarm went off at 9am and our hot water stopped coming through for a while but I would like to add that the staff will do absolutely anything to help and every time we had an issue someone was on the case straight away. Also we found that the cleaner only came once and we were in the room so we asked her to come back and for the rest of the time we were there we didn't see her and that meant we didn't get fresh towels or refills for our toilet roll and tea and coffees and the lovely bar staff was happy to accommodate and get us the stuff it was just slightly disappointing considering the amount we paid but when our electric tripped the cleaner was more than happy to help and she was very friendly so take that review with a pinch of salt.

It was cold in the bedroom and during our stay we couldn't get any food from the place.

We had to move rooms because of the state of the first room, second room was no better if not worse. Cleanliness was shocking with cobwebs broken bed disgusting floors where we had to leave shoes on as we got so dirty. Cracked damp walls and floors, I'm expecting to be poorly after staying there it was disgusting

Staff were lovely, nice pub, beautiful location.

Doors in corridor slam noisy with guests coming and going, no spoons in room for tea/coffee, cups too small, curtains didn't close to keep light out.
