Cabin in the Forest

Perfect little cabin with everything you need to self cater. Situated on a working microbrewery with a pub five minutes walk away and a farm shop next door. Regular bus service outside the pub means you can forget about the car. Very quiet, comfortable, and cosy. A well stocked fridge - including beer - awaits you. Tom and Lucy are the perfect hosts. Would definitely return.

Nothing. Everything has been thought of. Shame the pizza oven was packed away two weeks ago, but that's just our bad timing.

Lucy and Tom went above and beyond, providing us with eggs from their chickens, fresh home-baked bread, and beer from their on-site brewery, which has a great selection of beers. They provided lots of helpful information about local walks (which you can do from the door), pub recommendations (we checked as many as we could, they were great) and an OS map so we didn't get lost. The bed was exceedingly comfy, we had breakfast outside on our own wee terrace and the whole setup was gloriously cosy and relaxing.

Be aware if you're walking from the station that there isn't a pavement if you're walking along the road. You can take a scenic route through the woods, but not with a suitcase.

A charming cabin, very well equipped, in a great location. (Being next to a small brewery was a bonus!) Tom and Lucy are excellent and friendly hosts.

The location, the Pig Brewery next door, their playlist and beer, only sorry not to get to try the pizza oven pizzas; felt very relaxed. Fridge contents very welcome too!

Could do with a bit more workspace in kitchen area.

It was tucked away off the road , the owners left fresh food to start the holiday and it had its own micro brewery on site. We were made very welcome when we arrived being told just to knock on their door if we needed any help.. they printed off bus timetables for us and told us the nearest bus stop was just along the road.

The only thing that was awkward for us , was that the bed although very comfortable, was very low to the floor .

A lot of care has gone into making this cabin comfortable and easy to be in. The bed was great and the facilities just right for enjoying the forest, local restaurants and beach. The hosts were attentive and generous. We enjoyed mornings and evenings in the garden area.

Property was clean , but unfortunately next to an extremely main road which was not mentioned in the details. Take life into hands trying to cross it to get to the moorland.
