Hotel Riva del Sole

This took me back in time to a quaint oldie worldie type of hotel. The facilities were great with a plunge pool, indoor relaxation pool, hot tub and steps down to a small beach. Staff were helpful and it was a 10 minute walk to the famous Poseidon hot springs spa. They offered an inexpensive evening meal with a small choice between set dishes, but a large number of local restaurants nearby should you require a greater choice.

Breakfast was mediocre with the usual sliced cake, sliced meats and cheeses. A selection of fruit and yoghurt. Juices were not fresh, they were concentrate from a machine, which wasn't great. There is a nice terrace outside the breakfast room, where you could finish off by taking your coffee, but they would not allow any food to pass the door (Guarded). So, no coffee and cake on the terrace. Around the resort, there were so many A4 paper signs dotted around the walls, all with various rules to adhere to. I felt like I was back at school. Lastly, beware if the weather is warm, there is a 5 Euro per person per night charge to use the Air Conditioning in the room, you hire the controller from reception! If you want a mini fridge, it's 5 euros per room per night.

Straight on the beach and one of the best locations on the island

It’s a very basic and simple property. Extremely clean and with everything extra available upon request. The staff is extremely friendly and professional

The location was incredible. The pool and private beach were unmatched and with shops and restaurants on your doorstep or a 20 min walk into Forio, there was plenty around.

The room we stayed in was in between the cleaners cupboard and the kitchen so it was very noisy and we were woken up on several occasions. There were lots of extra charges that we weren’t aware of, eg you had to pay extra for a fridge or air con.

This small, cozy hotel was fantastic, thanks to the kind and helpful approach of the staff we had an excellent time. The seaview is totaly exclusive. The price-quality ratio is really good. Loved it. Highly recommended 😊👍

Amazing place for quiet vacation. Hotel is clean, territory very colour, rooms are clean and receptions were very nice and welcoming especially Valentina (I hope it’s right person because I’m bad at remembering names). Small beach just above hotel was great addition to everything. Great choice of hotel and great price. Also great views for sunsets. Thank you!

Breakfast buffet could have more options of cheese and vegetables and better coffee machine, maybe also juice instead of soda with juice taste. But can’t say it’s a big minus because you can simply eat in near cafe and not obligated to pay for breakfast.

The hotel is beautiful and very well maintained. The staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly. The bus stop is right in front of the property.

Location was simply the best.

Quite noisy early in the morning. We could hear everything what was going in the dining room.

The ocean view room was very beautiful. The room was clean and the staff was very helpful. The food selection during the breakfast was enough and the food was always fresh. Would certainly recommend!
