Hotel Riva del Sole

Perfect stay at the Island of Ischia. A delightful rather smaller hotel, charming as a bit "out of time". Extremely friendly staff - reception, restaurant, cleaning service!!!! Room decor a bit older but everything super clean. Had room 510 with a small terrace right by the sea - a dream. Small beach, beautiful pool, all very well maintained. In any case, half board is recommended - excellent cuisine, very varied, fresh and down to earth - wonderful! Great praise to the chef!!! Perfect location, very quiet, bus stops right in front of the hotel, Giardini Terme Poseidon 10 min walking distance, to Forio nice 20 mins walk along the promenade. A car is not necessary as the public buses run regularly. THX for a very relaxing week at Riva del Sole - will be back for sure.

some hard mattresses, but when I reported it at the reception it was promptly replaced THX for that :) Possibly the time of dinner could be extended by half an hour.

Hotel is nice example of a classic hotel (not modern) and the staff are lovely and very helpful. The location to get into town was about a 20-25 min walk.

Charged additional for using the air conditioning and this wasn’t stated prior to booking, only when we arrived.

Location is good- there is their own access to the sea.. and good pools.. small but nice territory of the hotel.. the biggest thermal park Poseidon is 5 minutes walk.. and bus stop is just in front of the gates..

Excellent hospitality and excellent location! We really love this place. It exceeded our expectations. Room was big, fresh enough, all was in excellent conditions, we don't have any complaints about the room. We are always critical about mattress and pillows, but this time there wasn't any problems to get good rest at night. Location is really fabulous - it was best place on Citara beach for us: not crowded and easy access, available all the day (till 21:00). We purchase additionally air conditioner and the fridge, but price was still very reasonable! We have used pool, thermal pool with hydromassage and jacuzzi. We found it really great place to stay on Ischia.

No complaints, excellent service. Just notice that it is common to get rest on the middle of the day, from 2-4pm :) But it's not about hotel service, it available all day long.
