Retreat on the Lake

The Cabin was beautiful and clean and the view was beautiful and I loved it we will go back there again soon and we told all of our friends and family to stay there

The room was modern, clean and cozy. Centrally located and since the town is very quiet at night, being so close to the road was not an issue.

I didn’t like the people above me making noise, like they were building furniture at 6:30 in the morning and then in the evening time till about 9:30.

Price and clean room

There was no remote to control the air unit. Luckily it was on 68 which I like. But still would like to control the temp.

The beds were very comfortable, and we were favorably surprised that the kitchen was supplied as it was. Had a great time!

The only thing we had to control was the smoke detector while opening the oven door. It's nice to be safe but funny, especially when you're trying to make biscuits in the morning and the smoke detector goes off and wakes up everyone.

My boyfriend and I were frequent guests to ROTL for the last 3 years. We were staying in one of the regular motel rooms and wanted to rent the tiny house next door for Halloween weekend (my favorite holiday) We booked it through booking.com and paid for it and Chris lied and made up stuff that never happened and refused to let us stay and still til this day refuses to refund our money of $427.00. The fact that I’m terminally ill and probably my last Halloween was ruined and we didn’t get to do anything. We had to buy our own toilet paper and paper towels. It didn’t make sense considering the tiny houses rarely get rented out.

Location was nice. I was a little shook when I pulled up and saw the scary movie vibe Motel sign! There were no cars there and it was cold, windy and cloudy! However, once I made it inside the spooky feeling left. The room looked to have been recently renovated to look like a cabin. Appliances were nice, especially the coffee maker. Plus the bathroom and shower were nice. Arlo, my dog really enjoyed checking everything out as well.

I guess I'm still old school so I would still like to have someone on site to check in with. But that wasn't too big of a deal. It was a little closer to the road than I would have liked but I still slept well and was really comfortable. I do wish that there was at least a smaller type recliner chair available though it would have been a little crowded.
