The cottage and location were simply stunning, with the river running past it and wildlife aplenty at every turn.

"Restful stay in a lovely cottage in a beautiful setting."

8.0

We know the property from the 1960s and 1970s, when my husband's grandmother lived there. It has been very well transformed into it's current form, particularly the addition of the kitchen/diner with the picture window.

As the cottage is so remote, I think it would be a nice touch to have a few provisions on arrival - perhaps some milk, tea, etc. TV and set up could perhaps be updated. Otherwise, it was everything we hoped for and expected.

"Beautiful cottage in a stunning location"

10.0

The location is out of this world. It's set in the most beautiful valley surrounded by mountains and a river stream at the bottom of the garden. There are plenty of walks around, and you can also go hiking nearby, which we did with our two boys. There is a small teashop and post office 5 mins walk away which serves paninis and breakfast rolls. They also do scrumptious cakes. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. We placed an ASDA order, which was quite handy. The nearest town, Aberfeldy, is a 40-minute drive on a single track road which has plenty of restaurants and a co-op for groceries. You could also go to Killin. If you like peace and quiet then do book the cottage. You wont see many tourists and the surrounding area is just stunning. We like quiet places and it was perfect for us. If u like having plenty of shops and restaurants around then maybe its not for u. Also, be careful on the mountain road from Killin to the cottage. Its tight and not for the faint hearted!

We loved everything but just a suggestion below. The towels provided were too small for an adult and must have been brand new as the towel fluff went everywhere. Wasn't a pleasant experience to come out of shower and get covered in blue fluff 😁
