Home Away From Home

We had a wonderful stay at Home Away From Home in Kolhapur from 2nd July to 4th July 2025. Traveling as a group of three adults and our beloved fur baby, HOPE, we were delighted to find a homestay that was not only pet-friendly but also genuinely welcoming and thoughtfully maintained. The 2BHK space was extremely spacious, clean, and comfortable — offering plenty of room for all of us to relax and for HOPE to joyfully roam around both indoors and outdoors. It’s rare to find such a perfect balance of comfort for humans and freedom for pets — and because HOPE enjoyed every moment of her stay, we did too! 🐶❤️ The breakfast was another highlight — generous in both quality and quantity, it set a great tone for each day. Everything was served fresh and with care, just like everything else at this property. Location-wise, the homestay is well-situated — just about 15 minutes from the beautiful Rankala Talao, making local sightseeing very convenient. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Amey Latkar, our kind and attentive host, who made sure our stay was smooth and memorable. If you're looking for a peaceful, clean, and pet-friendly place in Kolhapur that truly lives up to its name, this is it! Highly recommended! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Everything, the property was like 5 star hotel... loved it will definitely visit again.... food was awesome, the house was children friendly, host Mr Amey took all the care to make my trip memorable... booked cabs for me made an detailed itinerary for travel...

I loved everything in the property.

Amey is an amazing host. He made us feel very warm and welcoming. He also advised us on all the places to eat. The breakfast and dinner was very scrumptious. Very typical maharashtrian vegetarian food. Home away from home is very apt for the name and stay as it feels like home. This is one of the best places to stay as Amey himself makes sure the house is spic and span. Right from the washrooms to the kitchen, dining, living and bedrooms are very neat and clean. He has made sure of all the little essentials like the plates, cups, vessles in the kitchen are at hand. The washrooms have soap, toiletries, bath towels. The area too is very safe as the CCTV cameras are everywhere. One would highly recommend this property and will always look forward to coming back here. A home away from home!!

The only drawback of this place is it is a bit far from the Mahalaxmi temple. If one wants to go to the temple early morning there is no transport available to get there unless one has their own transport and a knowhow of the city where one could park their car as there are a lot of one ways near the temple area.
