the location was convenient for a gig, bathroom was clean

the owner took a long time to reply and would ignore me for days even on the day itself, wasn't co operative at all (I asked if I could simply just drop off a mains to usb adapter to the house before check in and he ignored the request for. weeks despite multiple follow ups) the room is tiny, 1 lumpy pillow, no bin, cupboard, drawers or anything like that,, just a hook and an awkward heater. the kitchen had what you need but not especially clean

“My stay at this property was extremely disappointing. The property had a strong, unpleasant smell, likely from the newly painted walls and the kitchen. On arrival, the bed sheets were stained, which was unacceptable. Although they replaced the room for me later, the new room was extremely tight, with no wardrobe or space to put my clothes—I had to leave them on the floor. It was barely big enough to move around in, the bed was uncomfortable, I couldn’t sleep well, and the room was cold. Through the booking, it was mentioned that parking and internet were included, but this wasn’t the case. After contacting the owner, I was told there was parking five to six minutes away for £22 per night, which was far too expensive. As a result, I had to park on the street nearby. The next morning, I woke up to a parking fine of £70, adding to my frustration. What’s even more upsetting is that this property was advertised as a five-star, but it doesn’t deserve even one star. There were no facilities to justify the rating. This issue falls entirely on Booking.com. People can list whatever they want, and I trusted the platform to ensure accuracy. This is the second time this month I’ve faced such an issue with a so-called five-star property. From now on, I’ll book privately and will no longer trust Booking.com. This experience was completely unacceptable, and I feel deeply let down by both the property and the platform.”
