EL GRAN TORIL

Very affordable and you can’t beat the location only steps from the main plaza. The staff was very friendly and it’s now the second time I have stayed at this hotel. It is a budget hotel

The price the location and the staff

It’s a super cute and very colorful little hotel about 20 feet from the Zocalo. My bed was very comfortable Whole hotel was incredibly clean and my shower was hot and had good water pressure. Cece at the front desk was incredibly friendly and very helpful as was the other gentleman I dealt with, but I didn’t get his name. Honestly, for this price point this far exceeded my expectations. They offer spa services and a masseuse came to the hotel to give me what I think is the best massage I’ve ever had her name was Carla and I highly recommend her. it has a nice little terrace deck with tables and chairs that looks over to the neighborhood. It’s right in the heart of everything. If you go out the door of the hotel and down to the left, you’ll find a comedor with little counters to eat at and a fresh juice and smoothie bar. I highly recommend Gran de Toril!

Good location near church, a little hard to find though but Taxco is a confusing town. Staff was kind and helpful.

There is no A/C. The property is listed as having A/C however that is a lie. Our room had a ‘mini-cooler’ which is a fan the you put water in. It’s May and it’s hot. We expected A/C, that was a lie. I would not recommend staying here in the summer.

The hotel is very centrally located. The bed was very comfortable. Overall it was nice especially for the price.

The water never got very warm in the shower. However, that was the only issue.

We liked the view, the location and how the staff treated us. They gave us some recommendations and both were kind.

The shower was kind of stuck and the water's temperature wasn't really stable, it went cold quite fast. Anyways, the stay is worth it.
