I found the place by chance while looking for a room on the main road, and I'm so glad I did. There's only a very small sign on the road. It's all very modern, clean, with attached bathrooms. The family and neighbors are very kind, treat their guests with love, and prepare various dishes on request. They can also help you organize tours in Udawalawe or take a bus to Arugam Bay.

We loved the wild park safari home stay! It is located about 10 minutes from the entrance of the Udawalawe park and in a beautiful location among the trees. The manager Ravidu and his wife were very friendly and organized a wonderful safari for us to the park. We saw over 50 elephants and other animals, so we had a great time. Our room at the hotel was large, comfortable and very clean. We also had a lovely dinner at the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to do a safari in Udawalawe. It was excellent value for money.

The staff are helpful, friendly and always smiling. The staff were kind and friendly and I would recommend it to anyone going to Udawalawe who wants to go on a safari. The safari was amazing. The breakfast was the best I had in Sri Lanka. They gave me a very cheap taxi to go to Ella.

I highly recommend it; we had a wonderful stay in this peaceful guesthouse set in a beautiful garden. The small family that lives there is very kind; we ate very well and felt at home in this peaceful environment. The room and the house are very well maintained. The safari we were given was absolutely fantastic; the guide was very friendly, knowledgeable about the park and attentive to our needs. He could even handle the small animals in the jungle.. Without hesitation, we will have an exceptional time!

Wonderful stay. They provided us with delicious breakfast. The room is very clean and comfortable. They welcomed us warmly. We highly recommend staying here if you visit Udawalawe, you will feel like home. Excellent service thanks to Ravidhu (the owner) and his team.

First of all, I would like to compliment the couple who are hosting you. Ravidu is there most of the time during your stay and ensures that you have a pleasant stay. Her breakfasts are generous and delicious. The rooms were spacious, very clean and beautifully designed. We booked a safari with them and they gave us an incredible deal as they have their own jeep. I would totally recommend their safari. Our safari was incredible. We really got to see a lot of wildlife! Our driver/guide was very informative and we learned a lot from him. It was a lot of fun and a real highlight of my trip.

Where to start... We had a wonderful stay! Our host Ravidu is a very kind man. We will be forever grateful for the special memories created there. His wife cooked us delicious traditional Sri Lankan food every night. Thank you so much ☺️ The bed is extremely comfortable and the room is spacious and very clean. I would 100% recommend booking a safari through Ravidu, he partners with a guide who has years of experience. The safari guide was knowledgeable about the animals and different species we saw on the safari. He was very respectful of the wildlife and drove slowly through the park unlike other jeeps... We were very happy that he took us to quiet places when we were the only ones as the park can sometimes get crowded. If you are going on a safari in Udawalawe you should book with him!!

This little hotel was just perfect for our trip to Udawalawe. The staff were friendly and attentive and offered an elephant safari which was amazing. The breakfast was freshly cooked to our request and was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. First class 😁

We had a wonderful holiday. A great place to go with family or close friends. The room was spacious. Clean, well equipped with all the necessary amenities including both air conditioning and tea and coffee making facilities for comfort. A highlight was the bathroom which was very clean and new. Excellent hot water system. Very clean and very comfortable bed. We were extremely satisfied with our stay and highly recommend this place. To anyone who wants to create beautiful memories with their loved one. Do a safari with a gamekeeper. We saw an elephant and a crocodile and lots of birds and deer. Highly recommend the safari. Wow - this place is truly special!!! With all the benefits of a local homestay. The accommodation is incredible. Beautiful gardens, incredibly comfortable bed and a really nice bathroom. The drinks menu in the room is also a really nice touch! We had some of the best food of our entire trip cooked by our lovely hosts - an incredible traditional vegetarian buffet! If you stay here, I highly recommend you book the safari through the hosts.. We had the most incredible full day safari in Udawalawe with a delicious packed breakfast and lunch to enjoy in the scenic spots of the park. Our guide, Shantha, was very knowledgeable, and was probably the only jeep we had around - he knew the best places to take us! Overall, one of our favorite places we have ever stayed, run by the loveliest people! We will stay again!
