City House with Cinema Room and Parking

Great location for the riverside. Good to have 2 reception rooms. Host was quick to answer any messages and very helpful. Bedrooms nicely done.

It’s a bit tired. Could do with a bit of work on the details - towels small and old, bathroom extractor doesn’t work so everything in there runs with water and mould is starting. Cleaners detail isn’t great.

Good space

Uncomfortable beds, mouldy shower , sofas smelt stale and stained.

Very clean and lovely with everything you needed.

Parking was a bit uphill but this cannot be helped.

Only 1 key for the property which caused an issue for 8 people, surprised to be informed by the booklet that there is a noise limiter installed, restrictions on using back door, couldn’t get the grill to work and no oven manual. Lights were very bright in lounge, ideal for a dimmer switch

I liked that there were only 4 of us staying, it was easy and pleasant to contact the landlady and that the price was reasonable. The kitchen was well equipped and checking in and out was easy. The double beds were comfortable. The linen was very clean.

The house was definitely not suitable for 8. There are only 3 bedrooms, the 4th is NOT a bedroom but an uncomfy bed settee in the lounge corridor where people have to come through to get to the bathroom. There is not enough room for 8 people to sit together in the kitchen or the lounge or the cinema room. Again it does not sleep 8. The stairs are not just steep: they are lethal! The twin bed on the right was reported to be uncomfortable and quite unstable, there is no bed side table or lamp in that room. The home is clean overall but look closely and it is not. The shower leaks water and is slippy. That said it was ok for 2 nights for 4 people. It is a 20 minute walk to town and is situated on quite a busy road.
