Inn at Joshua Tree

It’s under construction, not clean, the sheets weren’t clean, breakfast is very limited

Bed and pillows were very comfy. Morning front staff was very pleasant.

Difficult to find. Google maps kept sending me to Joshua Tree Inn which is in Joshua Tree. When I used the address it led me to 29 Palms, to what looked like an old hotel under remodelling. There was a different name outside and no vehicles around. Inside there was a mini-shop so that was my first indication they it was a functioning hotel. Front staff took a while to show up and there was no indication that they even knew I was there. Room was a bit warm although the air conditioner was doing its best. It did eventually cool down to about 71F or 21C. Shower went to luke warm with it cranked all the way to hot and no shampoo. When checking under the bed in the morning to make sure nothing slid under, I found a sock that wasn’t mine. Breakfast was very basic but it filled the void for the morning. One thing I was looking forward to after hiking in Joshua Tree Park all day was the pool, closed over winter as was the spa.
