Inn at Joshua Tree

Bed was ok

On arrival I asked for a bottom floor was told there was no availability. There was three other cars in the parking lot besides ours. Only saw three other families. Would have gladly paid an upgrade fee. No black out curtains and there was a bright light outside my window on all night.

Maria at front desk was extremely helpful in helping us find our way to the hotel when we rang her stranded, and a lady was very empathetic in agreeing to our request for a move to a different room for day 2 of our stay. Room 216 on the upper floor was so..... much better than the awful 104 we were first allocated - you could actually open the curtains and see something, and we were free of noisy neighbours. The banana muffins were nice!. There is a good grocery store 1 minute down the road.

1 Room 104 was dark and you lost all Privacy if you opened the curtains. Our neighbours were noisy right up to 3am - it was appalling. 2. The hotel feels miles from anywhere in 29 Palms 3. The breakfast was poor for a Best Western. There was no edible fruit on day 1, and the same rotten orange was there on day 2. there was no brown bread, just cheap white. 3. There was no healthy option - the oats were all full of sugar, as were tge cereals. The situation wasn't helped by a cleptomaniac family of 5 who got there first and wiped out the desirable stuff.

Clean and comfortable. Great water pressure for the shower.

I requested a bathtub, and there was No stopper on the tub, and the staff could not supply one.

Absolutely NOTHING

THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING CONDITIONS. I FELT LIKE I NEEDED A HAZMAT SUIT TO BE ON THE PREMISES. When I went to take a shower, the water would not get hot. I complained to the front desk and they said the pipes are "being worked on" so I need to run the water for 20 mins. Which means they knew that when I checked in but they failed to tell me that! That is absurd and unacceptable in my opinion.

Great location for Joshua Tree National Park

Renovation areas could be cordoned off for safety but not an issue at all.

The price was right. The bed was comfortable. The staff were helpful. Well done!

The floor could have been a little cleaner. Breakfast was okay. Not something I'd come to the hotel for though.
