Spacious Gatlinburg Condo With Million Dollar Mountain Views

Het uitzicht vanuit dit appartement is echt fantastisch. Het appartement is schoon, comfortabel en goed geoutilleerd. Er waren ruim voldoende handoeken voor beide badkamers. Er waren voldoende parkeerplaatsen ondnks het feit dat bijna alle appartementen in het gebouw bezet waren. De locatie was gemakkelijk te vinden. Locatie ligt op een kwartier rijden van het Smoky Mountains NP.

De toegangscode voor de deur werkte niet en het telefoonnummer dat voor nood was opgegeven werd niet opgenomen. Gelukkig reageerde de verhuurder op de ring-deurbel en werd de deur op afstand geopend. Na reset van de code werkte deze echter de volgende dag weer niet. Mogelijk dat het sluitysteem zich om de zoveel tijd reset, maar het is heel erg vervelend om met 6 man voor een dichte deur te staan en niet meer bij je eigen spullen binnen te kunnen komen. Gebouw was in onderhoud toen wij er waren. Het was even zoeken naar de ingang vanwege de vele steigers die er omheen stonden. We verbleven hier vanwege de nabijheid van Smoky Mountains NP. Het Smoky Mountains NP heeft ongetwijfeld prachtige natuur maar in de herfst althans bleken de bezoekersaantallen zo groot dat het tot een verkeersinfarct leidt en overvolle wandelpaden en parkeerproblemen.

Just as the host Misty said. The view in the morning was spectacular. Actually, it was great in the evening as well. We were not there during the day. The bedrooms and bathrooms were roomy. The condo on the third floor meant it has a vaulted ceiling with the loft bedroom/sleeping area. We did use the TV in the evening, but mostly for music while we played cards. It has a fire place, but we did not use it. That would be great during the colder months. We stayed in the third week of June 2025. I was great being up over Gatlinburg, so you can see so much more of the Smoky Mountains. The drive to the condo from Gatlinburg while not quite 20 minutes long and curvy, was well worth the extra time. This also allowed for several ways to get around Gatlinburg traffic, if you wanted to run up to Pidgeon Forge, or over to Cades Cove in the Smoky Mountains. Don't forget, you get a chance to see black bears anywhere. We saw them near the condo, and on the roads in town, and in the park. Overall, we would definitely recommend this condo to a family, friends, of a couple for a romantic getaway.

The only thing we could give a medium score was for the kitchen size. While it was supplied with everything you would need to prepare a meal, it is a small space. Only one person could work in there at a time. Or two very affectionate people. Since we did not use the kitchen for cooking, it was not a big deal for us. This is by no means a deal breaker. I would still stay here again without question.
