Ostrich cottage at Les Wings private game farm

Het was mooi aangekleed, het uitzicht was prachtig en natuurlijk de dieren. We hebben zebra’s, steenbok, buffels en struisvogels gezien.

It was nice and quiet and we really enjoyed feeding the chickens and turkeys. There was a lovely view from the hot tub and there was a comfy lounger next to the tub for chilling.

The bathroom is not located in the same building as the bedroom. Too many bugs so we had to keep windows closed. The house was therefore very hot. The dirt road is savage and very long. You need a high clearance vehicle. There was nobody to speak to if we had any questions and we had to provide our own toilet paper. Huge spiders in the bathroom, if u get scared of bugs like me. The fitted sheet didn’t fit the bed which made sleeping a little bit uncomfortable. The dirt road is very close so if u get woken up by street noise, it can wake you. We were there for a week and would have appreciated a little light clean and replenishment of toilet paper half way. We ended up braving the dirt road to go buy toilet paper.

Les Wings was the best of both worlds, with the bush quite in the morning and afternoon dips in the ocean nearby. Inge and her family were great hosts and very accommodating. Can definitely recommend and will be back!

The gravel road to the property is not in the best shape, still manageable - slow wins the race but became ‘long’ after a few days.

Ah we loved everything it was amazing.

Wow, what a stunning place. Exceeded all my expectations. We will be back!

What a unique experience!!! We loved loved staying at the ostrich cottage! Amazing garden, terrace & surrounds, and the hot tub is the total cherry on the top! We were incredibly lucky... saw wildlife from the first moment... zebras and springboks to start with. In the morning we got up early to watch the waterhole, but no animals. But when we got back to the cottage, we saw springboks directly behind the fence, and later had a lovely visit from a group of ostriches... AMAZING!! The highlight was watching the ostriches drink & bathe. We enjoyed an amazing sunset during our stay, and an incredible night sky, millions of stars and the milky way... our stay was truly breathtaking and memorable.
