"Only stayed for two nights, so was okay for that. Could be much nicer with a bit of love."

7.0

Very good location for our stay. Warm central heating. Good showers and hot water. Comfortable warm beds. Overall good sound insulation from outside noise. Kitchen generally well equippped although some missing items. Messaged host as no hairdryer - host or delegate brought one the next morning, along with bin bags.

Kitchen: Did not have tea / coffee maker as in facilities list. A kettle and mugs (not even a teapot) are not the same. Top of the waste bin was dirty and there was no rubbish bag in it. I tried cleaning it, but looks like chewing gum or similar is stuck at front lip of kitchen bin. First plate in the kitchen cabinet was not properly cleaned. Booked for 4 people - being provided with three tea bags is not welcoming. No tin opener. There was a dustpan with no brush and a kitchen roll holder with no kitchen roll. We are happy to do a bit of cleaning as we go - but please provide more than one J cloth. Bedrooms: Did not have hairdryer as in facilities list. Not well cleaned - one sock found in bottom of wardrobe on first floor. Top bedroom - bedside tables are tiny, then it took a long time to find the bedside light switches hidden underneath them. Would be useful to have drawers or shelves for clothes in top bedroom. Bathrooms: No hand towel in the downstairs toilet. Construction: The internal construction quality is poor - kitchen cabinet pelmets not quite lined up with cabinet. First floor wardrobe sliding doors keep sliding open. Some doors sticking. Paint coming off top bedroom doorframe as wood not properly primed and door was sticking. Top newel post cap loose. Banister to top floor catches fingers going both up and down - not dangerous but annoying. Lots of snagging issues that should have been picked up and put right. Overall - this really could be a lovely place to stay, needs some attention to detail, some love. Just felt a bit like a rush job, build and decorate, chuck a few plastic succulent plants to give it some colour (why put them by the bath taps?). Felt like cut price corporate, not a place to enjoy staying in and relaxing after a day out walking or cycling.

It was a stunning venue and excellent location! I had my wedding at East Riddlesden Hall and this property was exactly what I needed. It was a big enough space for me and the bridesmaids to relax and had amazing scenery. I was at peace here and will definitely come again.

I loved everything about this place and I wished I stayed longer.

"A very enjoyable stay in a well located, clean and well appointed property"

Location was very good, next to the canal & across from the pub. It was all brand new.

A booklet giving information on things such as the wifi password, how to operate the tv and the cooker would have been helpful.

"Excellent would definitely stay again!"

It was modern and clean and right on the canal. East Riddlesden Hall was directly opposite but unfortunately didn’t get time to visit!

Everything was great
