Skye Cottage, Meadowside House, near Kingussie

Quite comfortable and well furnished. Ideal for the next door Wildlife Park. WiFi good and TV good.

Shower old, very small and disappointing. 2nd room "wardrobe" too small ,very limited space and full of ironing board/cleaning stuff. Both keys left In door-safe on leaving. (Couldn't find "Reception" lady who was quite unhelpful anyway). Front door handle nearly hanging off. Fire blanket ( out of it's container and left roughly folded up and shoved in the cupboard directly above the cooker)!! Hall door ( only fire exit) opened inwards from bedrooms. A potential fire hazard. Stay was enjoyable but these points definitely need some attention.

Beautiful building, large cottage with ample space. Great location. Perfect for our family

Minor toilet issues.

The building is beautiful. The location is nice and suited our purposes, it’s about a ten minute drive back to Kingussie to restock your food. The unit is very clean and warm. Kitchen is well stocked. Not a plus or minus but if you are booking you need to be aware that this is not a stand alone house but one of many semi detached units. The unit is very compact, it’s good for two but pushing it for more than that so make sure you like the people you are sharing with! We did so it was ok. There are no river views from the cottage that I could see but maybe from somewhere else on the property ?? You will also be asked to do some housework before you leave.

The neighbouring people came in after 12 and were very noisy so the walls are a bit on the thin side. Pack earplugs.

1 radiator was hanging off the wall. 1 ring of the electric cooker didn't work. The mirror over the bathroom washbasin was missing. It would be extremely tight for space for 4 quests. The kitchen arrangement felt quite unsafe as there was so little room to manoeuvre especially getting food out of the oven.

Perfect location for Highland wildlife park. Quick response from owner when we had an issue.

Bathroom could do with some tlc

Location and price excellent.

Maybe be allowed to bring our pet, but can understand why they don’t allow pets.

I like the location. it is just next to wild life zoo.

The bad room is dark and old.
