Grade II listed Cottage with Sauna in Bakewell

Beautiful house, really good communication with the owner, and the sauna was very welcome! Not too far of a walk into Bakewell either

Nothing, it was perfect for what we needed!

Fantastic location on the outskirts of Bakewell, with easy access into town/Monsal trail, and the legendary Thornbridge taproom over the road. The house is spacious beautifully laid out - cinema room for the kids and sauna for the adults. The garden was secure for the dogs. Sauna was really easy to use and quick to heat up. We didn't use the outdoor space as we managed to time our stay with Storm Floris, but the indoor space is so nice (great wood burner) that it really is a cottage for all seasons. We really enjoyed our stay and were sad to leave.

There's only one bathroom (unless we missed it), so for the people in the far 'wing' it's a bit of a trek in the middle of the night, but not a deal breaker by any means.

The cottage was excellently equipped with everything you could need. All the rooms were beautifully decorated and really had that countryside cottage feel. The outside area and sauna were both real highlights. The cottage is also in a great location only a short walk from Bakewell, as well as plenty of pubs and cafes.

Excellent location for sightseeing. Very clean and relaxing location. Beds were super comfortable. Loved the sauna. Close to shop which was very convenient. Excellent value for money and we were allowed to bring our dog which meant a lot to us to be able to take her on our family holiday. James (host) was always contactable if we needed anything which was very reassuring.

Next to busy road, which was a little noisy and slightly dangerous to cross at times. Door key scheme was a little confusing to start off with, till we got the hang of it.

Lovely, quirky cottage with lovely furniture. Very good outdoor space with fire pit. Also a sauna. Great bedrooms. Different relaxing room. Fantastic shower! Walking distance to the town.

Nightlight sensor into the garden. It came on every time a car went past.

Great location to walk into Bakewell. Very convenient to have supermarket opposite side of road (but far enough away not to spoil setting).

Entrance is onto busy main road. Reversing out is very difficult.

Lovely host very helpful and sent lots of recommendations over before we got to the cottage. Lots of space for families travelling and very comfy beds. Additional amenities provided such as coffee and lots of games to get involved in. Sauna was a lovely addition

Really comfortable bed, well equipped house, home from home. Good communication from the owner with lots of advice on where to go. We loved Bakewell and highly recommend this holiday rental. Especially loved the walk into Bakewell by the river.

The cottage was just perfect for our stay! Lots of space to relax, the huge TV was a big hit with the kids and it was a great space for 5 of us to be together in the evening. Great kitchen and dining facilities and comfortable beds. The sauna was also a real treat! Great location with Aldi across the road and a beautiful walk into Bakewell. James was really helpful in providing information before and during the stay. We hope to stay again!
