The Mews, private parking included, Windermere

The house was lovely and comfortable.

We were three guests and needed two bedrooms. There was only one bed ready so I had to contact the owner. She managed to send someone straight away to sort it out. The bedding and the towels weren't great as they were creased and the colour was grey. I would always prefer white or light coloured bedding. But this is my personal preference.

The location was great and central. We arrived slightly earlier than the check-in time, but the host kindly allowed us in. The place was well-equipped and there were many shops around.

Property was walking distance to the shops & some local restaurants. Great location, lovely little news which was perfect for our family. Thank you for a wonderful stay

We stayed at this place during the Easter weekend and we definitely enjoyed every bit of it. Location is a no brainer 10 for us as it sits in central Windermere. All dinners we booked were literally 2 mins walk away. Some great restaurants around I have to say. Parking on site was not available due to the scaffolding for the roof work on the main house in front, but this was stated clear in the description and the message from the Clare and Darren before our arrival so appreciate of that. I can see it could be an added value once the scaffolding goes away. Plus off road parking was quite easy with free overnight stay anyway (6pm-9am). Local Sainsbury's and Co-op are 2mins walk away too. The place is very clean. Sizes of bedrooms/living room/kitchen/bathroom are certainly not very big but the layout is so reasonable that it feels big enough. Both beds are very comfortable. Carpet is quite thick and comfortable too. WiFi speed was decent and the TV has Netflix too! Heating control is the easiest of all places I stayed before as it's simply twisting temperature control on the wall and it worked perfectly. During our 4 nights stay we didn't have anything to ask the hosts as they explained everything in the message before our arrival, and the place literally had everything we need! I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and we would check availability if we plan to visit Lake District again.

I'm being picky here. If the toilet seat is soft close it would be perfect.
