The Mews, private parking included, Windermere

Perfect location and layout for a weekend away for two friends. The lounge and bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The driveway was a little stressful to use as it’s so narrow, but we were given a heads up about this and other options as an alternative. Communication was clear.

The Mews is a great little cosy apartment. It really feels like you’re in your own home. The apartment is clean and modern with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. We really enjoyed how quiet it was with no noises from the road. Was very easy to find on Google maps. A quick walk into the town area with all different shops and restaurants. Then a short drive down to the pier area which had more shops and restaurants. The parking is a bit tight but we managed just fine with a large Citroen C4, just go slow and you’re in/out no bother! The Mews is definitely on the ‘Will stay again’ list!

We had a wonderful stay at this property, and Clare was an amazing super host! They went above and beyond to accommodate us for an extra day at no additional charge due to severe weather conditions, which we deeply appreciated. Clare also provided great advice on the best viewpoints to visit during the snow—truly thoughtful and generous. The property itself is in a fantastic location, equipped with all the necessary amenities, and is in excellent condition for a family stay. A couple of suggestions for improvement would be adding an auto-sensor light outside and enhancing the driveway.

As a family we have been coming Windermere/ Bowness for the past 19yrs and staying in many properties. This property was very cosy the beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped for its size, location perfect.

It can feel quite cold even with heating on so the blankets provided were much appreciated. It’s desperate for a security light outside and parking will be difficult if you own bigger vehicle.
