The Beechwood

The location was perfect. The owners are truly lovely. My room and bathroom were nice and clean. Very comfortable bed.

The service was excellent and much more personalised than I've received in large chain hotels. I was greeted with a warm welcome and appreciated Mrs Griffiths changing my room to the ground floor to make it easier to keep my bike in the room. I checked out in the morning and went about my day. I later received a text message to state I had left a cable in the room and was this to be thrown away. I had left my watch charging cable in the room in error and really appreciated Mrs Griffiths sending this back to my home address. It may be a small token but it's a personal touch that I do not believe I would receive from many now a days. Thank you so much, I will definitely return for my next visit to Leeds.

Basic room but an exceptionally comfortable bed with lovely duvet and pillows. Pity that no breakfast is available at the property. The noise of workmen in the property went on til 7pm which doesn’t sound bad but as I arrived with a headache from a hard days work, it was annoying to say the least.

Good value room for one night whilst visiting our daughter.

Unfortunately there were no double bed rooms left so our singles felt a little cramped as my husband is 6’4!

The location was very convenient for me and close to Roundhay Park plus a lively suburban shopping street. The place in general and my room in particular were spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. It was also quiet and parking was easy on the premises or on the street outside.

My bathroom was very clean but tatty, with panels missing and rust in the shower cubicle. But the price here is very competitive for Leeds and I can live with that! I shall use Beechwood again.

The room was clean, quite and close to where we were visiting. Location is great for little cafes and coffee shops.

Room was very cold on arrival despite knowing what time we were due to arrive. However it did warm up later. The ensuite was clean but in need of maintenance. The towel rail was disconnected, the flooring unfinished and cracks/holes in the walls. The shower pressure very poor and took a long long time to warm up.

IT'S A CONTRACTORS ACCOMMODATION Very dated and basic room. Never used the shower as it was filthy. The shower in the shared bathroom was better but kept going hot and cold! Electric towel rail was nearly off the wall too. The owner admitted that the bed room had not been refurbished like the rest! The bed was very uncomfortable.

The price!! £150 for 2 nights........expected better.
