Galt House Hotel, A Trademark Collection Hotel

Nice views of the river, cool restaurant/bar atrium, good location in downtown Louisville, helpful staff

The walls were very thin; can hear people talking in neighboring rooms. The restaurant/bar closes early, even for grab-and-go. Room fixtures seem dated.

I love love love what they have to offer and is right near everything. Clean and a pretty view of the river!

We love the property we go every year for Thunder it’s super busy but it’s definitely the best place to stay.

Nice location, clean, and good service.

Room was not as nice as advertised. It had a refrigerator but no microwave. Outdated. Not worth the price. View was not what was advertised for the East tower.

The breakfast buffet had a great selection of items that included a made to order omelet station.

On the second day after a freezing day in spitting rain watching the air show and coming in to use the bathroom and warm up the toilet almost overflowed we thought it went down we had only urinated in it and found it odd that while we were gone staff cleaned room and suddenly toilet was stopped up. By this time t was time for thunder over Louisville we go down to that get back and need to use bathroom again cannot hold it get to room to find the water in toilet had gone down but had not flushed all the way so we were afraid to flush and called maintenance. One man came with most logical thing a plunger and we all thought that will do the trick, right? Wrong. He said well going to get bigger tool. He comes back with another guy and electronic snake by now its going on 11:00pm. I am thinking I bet the other people hate us but not our fault. So they run snake it doesnt work. They say we gotta go get more tools. We are in a 2 room suite so we like okay. Mind now we are in our 60s and we are exhausted. While we are waiting some woman accesses our room. We are like what is going on!!?? Then the hotel calls wanting to know why I am still in that room because I had gotten another room not through booking but through the hotel and it was too small (one room) and my adult son has mobility issues and was with his wife and child and I requested a mobility upgrade from and one room standard for him and his wife from the west tower to the east tower. They charged me $30 and said it was no problem but they put it in my name but it was originally in my daughter in laws name as a guest. So they thought I was going to leave almost the exact room for the exact room and gave my room I was in to someone else. So that is why someone just walked in other than the plumbers. Then the plumbers return now there are 4 more tools bigger tools it’s well past midnight. They end up taking the toilet completely up.
