Spacious 2 Bedroom Apartment with Free Parking

It was clean and had space. Was well located for us to walk into the centre. It had secure parking

The window in the living room was broken and could not fully shut. It let in a draught, noise and cigarette smoke. The apartment was directly above the flats smokers outdoor area & Hooters

The close proximity to the train station and town centre are great! And if you don't want to eat out all the time, the kitchen has good facilities for preparing food. The apartment was nicely decorated, a good size for the 3 of us, and having 2 bathrooms was handy. Clean and tidy too.

Instructions for parking did not contain crucial information. We were helped by the caretaker in the end. He said that guests who came by car repeatedly had the same issue: not enough information. If you travel here by car, make sure you specifically ask the host for the name of the side street where the car park entrance is. Also make sure you get the parking space number allocated to the apartment (it didn't match the flat number!). You will also need the phone number for the automated line that then opens the shutters. This number is not by the parking gate; it needs to be given to you. We tried to call the phone numbers given to us, multiple times throughout the afternoon of arrival. There was no answer. Also, none of the numbers given to us were for the automated system that opens the parking shutter. Had it not been for the chance encounter with the caretaker, we would have been stuck. It was noisy during the night due to being close to a busy road, and bottles and patrons from hooters disturbed the peace. Not ideal for a light sleeper.

Property was nice. Parking was horrific. 40 mins to get in and 30 mins to get out due to incorrect code and the. Being told they open them it’s not a code but when they try the gates don’t open. When using the emergency number they said not there issue as it’s not there apartment even though you’ve booked through them!

The actual property was OK.

Getting into the apartment and car park went perfectly. The apartment was clean and comfortable.

The only problem was that a window didn’t close and open so we couldn’t air the living room out at night. The weather was warm, so it was very stuffy and uncomfortably warm for our son who was sleeping on the sofa bed there. The host did bring a fan the next day, so that was a little better. The property is in a main road, so it was quite loud. But maybe in the winter that wouldn’t be a problem.

Gaining access and exit to the car park was problematic. Lack of curtains in the bedrooms. Lack of cleaning products in kitchen such as dish cloth and a tea towel. Lack of bin liners for refuce.

Tricky getting to carpark after checking out as no fob key to get into carpark after keys handed in. Also, no recycling bins on site or in apartment so took it home.

Lovely space and well located for the station. Bedrooms were a good size and comfortable.

Not the owner’s fault but on two morning we were woken very early (4am and 5am on weekend days!) by keg deliveries and empty bottle collections to the bar next door. I’m shocked they are allowed to do it so early in a residential area. Also, some basic things were missing from the kitchen so if you plan on cooking take your own oven gloves and tea towel. There was a dishwasher but no tablets.
