Hotel Sita Where Every Stay Tells a Story of Kashi

The hotel manager couldn't door enough for me to ensure I had a great stay. Room were adequate with a great balcony over looking the Ganges, could've not got a better location. Roof top restaurant, have excellent views which spanned on for miles. Good choice of breakfast both Indian and European. Sanjay the tour guide showed me all around on a walking tour and I felt completely safe. He introduced me to the delicious Baba lassi, which is a must when visiting He also organised a boat trip for me and my return transportation to the airport. You couldn't asked for a better guide.thank you. Vishnal, helped me source a sari as I attended the owners son's wedding. He ensured it was within my budget and that it looked perfect. In summary, amazing location, clean bedding, comfortable beds, good food, great shower but above all else the staff were amazing and went above and beyond. I now have some new friends.

Due to location being right on the Ganges, the last two kilometres have to be walked. Not a problem but maybe a member of hotel staff could meet the guest at a set location and guide them to the hotel.

It was a wonderful 2 nights stay there. We had booked three rooms for 6 of us. Hotel is right at the ghat. But this is not for elderly people with walking difficulties. Ideal place to explore ghats. Food is excellent. Hotel staff ensures you have no problem with luggage. We visited during Kumbh and it was little tough. Hotel staff make it easy even though we had 10 suitcases in total ( 4 bigs and 6 small). But you also need to be cooperative. Little bad conditions of the washrooms. Water dripping problem exists. Overall good comfortable stay

Very dirty rooms, dirty toilets, dirty bedsheets, dirty blankets.

Very unclean and unhygienic

The staff were amenable and friendly and even helped me late at night to procure medicine and doctor's help when I suddenly fell ill at the hotel. They helped us with all the necessities for my quick recovery.

The property is approx 500m from the main road and not friendly for elderly travellers since one would have to carry their own luggage through unmarked narrow alley ways and steep stairs. There was no wifi or minibar; the balcony was unusable due to construction work being done during the stay, there were debris on the balcony throughout our stay without it being cleaned even once. The construction workers would hover around the balcony the entire time which didn't allow us to open the curtains to enjoy the amazing view the room offered. The window glass on the other side of the room was unclean as well preventing the view. The bathtub was in no condition to be used with clumps of hair visible near the drain. There was only one option per day for breakfast - No fruits, or continental options available. The room condition was poor and unhygienic overall - definitely not worth 15000/- rupees per night! The room refreshments like tea / coffee and water were never refilled. Room was cleaned once during our 4 day stay. Pictures of property on Booking.com do NOT match reality of the place.

The hotel is just by the River with good view from the window. Location at old town the heart of city. Walkable to many tourist places. Staffs are very friendly and helpful.

Long walk from main road and may lost in many small lanes. Remember contact staff before hand for help especially if you with luggages.
