The Garden Rooms at The Courtyard,Townley Hall

Located on the historic and bucolic Townley Hall estate - a short drive from Tullyallen and Drogheda.

Lovely friendly and helpful hosts, great accommodation, fantastic location (5min drive from Battle of the Boyne site for example). Lots of other nearby (i.e. < 1 hour drive) things to do and see including beach at Mornington, overall very happy with this rental.

This is a fantastic place to stay, featuring thoughtful touches such as bread, milk, butter, tea, and coffee among other amenities. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Valerie. The lodging itself is pristine and decorated to a high standard. It offers exceptional comfort in a stunning environment. The aesthetics are beautiful, showcasing meticulous attention to detail throughout the space. The bedding and the super king-size bed were of outstanding quality, contributing to an exquisite experience overall. An added convenience is the separate laundry and ironing room, which proved to be very helpful during our stay.

Nothing - the place was amazing

It’s in a stunning location, we are countryside people at heart and this feels so peaceful and relaxing. Valerie was a wonderful host, sending directions the day before, leaving delicious local goods that we have for breakfast each morning, and it’s so lovely to have someone to greet you on arrival and show you around. There was also a helpful guide to how things works as well as restaurant recommendations - we had dinner at Inside Out which was delicious and very friendly service. We felt really treated and loved every moment. The bed is out-of-this-world comfy! I don’t know what mattress that is but I need one! And lots of blankets for the colder months. Having said that, it was lovely and toasty with the underfloor heating that we could control to our liking. There was a selection of games and leaflets with suggestions of activities in the local area. We visited Knowth and Dowth nearby which were fantastic. We also made good use of the Scrabble set with takeaway pizza from nearby Slane. All in all, we had the most wonderful weekend away, and will almost certainly be back! Thank you, Valerie.

Agree with all the positive comments - comfortable, stylish courtyard property with some nice extras. Owners live opposite so are on hand to assist with anything

Living area with small sofa great for 2, might be a bit less comfy for 4.

What’s not to love?! The entire experience was absolutely incredible! Valerie was lovely, the apartment was exquisite and delightfully comfortable. Loved the homey touches and attention to detail in every which way. Felt incredibly spoiled!! This place is truly a hidden gem, no question. We are looking forward to coming back!

There was nothing we didn’t like. Zero complaints.
