Eagle Point Beach and Dive Resort

Quiet location, great view.

The resort is aged and requires a good renovation program to bring it back to a compatible standard with surrounding resorts.

We chose Eagle Point because of the fantastic views pictured online. In this respect the resort met our expectations. I enjoyed the two large pools. The waterslide operated on the Sunday, which was great. Other days, you could push sufficient water down it with your hands such that it would become functional, and that was goodness. Eagle Point appears to be an excellent place to learn scuba diving. If I had been alone, without 10 filipino family members to subsidize, I certainly would have purchased their introductory diving package. They had a giant "aquarium" on site for teaching scuba diving.

People complain about the pricing of food at the resort. However, for lunch at least, the portions were double-sized so one could order 3 portions for 6 people and share. This makes the meals competitive, in my view. The transferring to a shuttle for the last part of the trip to the resort was a nuisance. A competent driver in lower gear could have managed the shuttle-section of road, in my estimation. Also, publicity photos showed a sandy beach but didn't mention that a 4,000 peso boat charge was required to access the beach. For day-use ocean swimming, we drove to Sampagita Beach, north of Mabini, instead.

The views , the reef for snorkelling, the pools were good for children

The restaurant had a lot of foods out of stock, food took a long time to come out and it came out really spaces out. The slide in the pools needed more water

The cleanliness around the sports area was pathetic, medieval century pool table and chess board pieces were incomplete. Food service was very slow specially during a limited breakfast menu. Communication within staff poor. Had to ask 10 times for an ironing board which was eventually refused.

This is a bad experience for us. Our purpose here is to go scuba diving. When checking in the hotel we asked very clearly about the diving service until the end of the end. They answered me as 6pm. 4pm we registered the receptionist. They said they closed diving service. Unprofessional staff. This is like an abandoned area that no one comes. Old and not worth the payment. Bad food and Staff . Advise you not to come here but because I really regret choosing this resort
