The decor and facilities were excellent. Extra touches such as tea, coffee, biscuits and milk were really appreciated.

Although the open plan deco was lovely, we did not like that there was no door separating the loo from the bedroom and therefore the rest of the house. That said it would not stop us from staying again.

Good location, quiet.

The property was very disappointing. We knew it was small but it is tiny. Some self catering places feel like a lot of attention and thought has been given to them whilst others feel like the primary motive is to make money and it is full of unwanted items (furniture/crockery etc). This felt like the latter. The description on this website is not clear enough. Some people might like an open bathroom but to be clear there is no door and the toilet is right behind the bed separated only by a stud wall. Given the size of the property you can hear everything in the bathroom from anywhere in the property. The spiral staircase is steep and narrow (not surprisingly). To comply with the latest fire regulations it at least needs to be made explicit in the marketing that this property is unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues and there should have been clear fire guidance and provision of certain fire equipment given the staircase is the only means of exit from the property and as it is all open plan there are no fire doors. (We are currently staying in another property which is also quite small with a spiral staircase but it has all of the necessary precautions and warnings). The property is also not well presented: kick boards missing under the oven, poor standard sealant in the shower, rawl plugs loose in previously used wall fittings etc. The bed is very low to the ground (which may be an issue for anyone with mobility issues who has managed to negotiate the stairs) and uncomfortable. Because of its lack of size you sit on the sofa next to the fridge and a recycling bin. Whilst the “breakfast bar” is next to the main bin. There is a linoleum floor in the kitchen area that covers the whole downstairs which only makes the place feel even smaller and that there is no proper lounge area (which there isn’t really but it could be made to feel more like one).

All self service, no contact with staff except by phone. Small spiral staircase to get to sleeping loft.

Lovely accommodation. Clean. Perfect location. Allowed to park earlier, then check in. Which was wonderful as we were attending a local wedding.
