"Cosy is right"

8.0

Gorgeous tiny cottage in an ideal location for stunning walks and views. Equipped with everything you would need for a few nights and comfy sofa bed. Plus Austin was very helpful and quick to reply.

It was our fault for not reading the small print properly but we took our 6 month old with us and we were very limited for space so we would highly recommend either a single person or a couple. The sofa bed is super comfy and great for a few nights but next time, we will probably hire the coastguards for more room and family comfort.

"Wonderful building and location if you want somewhere really peaceful"

7.0

The accommodation is really cosy. The location is really peaceful. The way the room was decorated was also really well done. The heated floors in the kitchen and bathroom were. lovely touch. The building is stunning. The host responded to us immediately when we called.

The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. It did not lay flat and was higher in the middle than at the head and feet. The mattress was very thin and we could feel the springs of the bed though it. It would be better if this room just had proper bed with no sofa like a hotel. The shower did not have a thermostat so it was either boiling or freezing. There was only two of us so we did not use the bunks but I would not recommend them for children. The sofa was very dirty.

"Had a fabulous stay there and would definitely stay there again."

The location was perfect for us as it was great for walking our dog.

Think the property could benefit with a microwave which could be wall mounted. And the sofa bed could do with a topper as it is quite lumpy.

Quiet location, very clean and tidy, easy access and clear instructions.

Hot water in the shower went out and came back so had to wait for one minute under freezing water.

"Lovely cosy cottage, great secluded location, host needs to provide hard copy information as other rentals do."

8.0

Lovely old but renovated cottage in a great location if you have a car. A cosy but not cramped feel for 1 person. Peaceful Outdoor area and level parking close to the door.

Hard copy information needs to be available for guests. It’s a quirky interior and especially with the renovation, some things are difficult to locate. Wifi wasn’t working when I arrived so initially I had no ability to contact the host. When connected wifi signal was weather dependant. Lighting in the kitchen was poor which the host actioned with 2 small lamps that barely threw any light. This was by day 5 somewhat remediated with an additional standing lamp. The refrigerator was a modern, low, very slim lined model (due limited space available) shelves did not not pull out this made using it difficult and impractical.

"Was goo as we spent most of the day out."

5.0

The location was good.

Could have been cleaner, internet did not work effectively. Very small room with sofa bed, the two additional beds are near on possible to get to through the gap up to the beds. Stairs up to the beds were very steep, dangerous for children and adults.not enclosed garden for dogs.

I stayed in the cottage with my friends and we had a great time at the property. The host was kind enough to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Also the cottage is in an excellent location with walkable distance to the needles.

"A weeks holiday to start my retirement"

8.0

The location was excellent for us to explore the island especially ideal with the dog. It was near to Tennyson Downs and The Needles so great places to walk to with the dog. The cottage was compact but had what you needed on a day to day basis. The response from Austin about the toaster not working was excellent, a replacement was brought to us. There is plenty of outside seating space to enjoy the sun and read a book.

There could have been a covering for the bathroom window also the door leading in to it is very small not good when you are 6ft 1 like my husband. I’m not sure the bunk beds are needed as they can’t be used by adults and I wouldn’t let a child use them. This may have allowed the door to be bigger. I would also possibly put an air fryer in. We cooked at the cottage a few times having an air fryer would have been ideal. I’m not sure that the desk or ottoman are needed something smaller as there isn’t a lot of space. We managed perfectly well but these are our thoughts.
