The Astbury Golf And Lodge Resort

The grounds were lovely and Astbury hall was immaculate and very attractive . The facilities were new and staff were lovely but inexperienced. Craig the manager was very willing and understanding but had little he could do at his disposal to help with out problems.

I phoned to book a cot and highchair but this was not added to the booking. Craig sorted this relatively quickly. Once we had this delivered we realised the cot did not fit in any of the bedrooms. They are VERY small. We had to lift the bed vertically up against the wall. Craig the manager appoligised profusely and agreed this was not something that had been thought about and took away the base of the bed. My daughter had to sleep in the master bedroom with me, my husband on the floor in the lounge and my toddler in the travel cot in the bedroom. This was not acceptable! On Saturday we found the sink was leaking. I phoned a number of times and left messages. I cleared up the mess but dirty dish water was spilling out of the cupboard. I phoned up again and as there was not a maintenance man on site we had to leave the leak. There were no other lodges to be moved to.

Very peaceful setting and is definitely a space to get away from it and just relax. The lodge was very clean and had everything you need. Hotub was a lovely way to end the day. I will definitely be returning.

I would suggest a booklet in the lodge just to give details on check-out days/keys etc.
