Somerset Lodge, a secret hideaway

Everything you need for a getaway in Bath. Short drive from park and rides for easy access to the town centre. The property is just fabulous - clean, comfortable and such lovely touches with the decor and facilities. Would definitely recommend!

The location is very tranquil, and I wish we could have been there during warmer months to enjoy that and the sound of the stream. The place is a lot larger than the pictures show, and it is very clean. The heaters warm the place up very quickly, but throws, blankets, and hot water bottle were provided. The kitchen had all the essentials, a bit awkward without a microwave but made do. The water pressure is lovely, and after reading some reviews about the size of the shower, I was apprehensive but it was a good size - although I can see how the American style showerhead can make it difficult. Checking in and out was super simple, but the parking was a slight challenge to complete in the middle of the night!

The blinds in the kitchen made it slightly eerie as they didn't offer any privacy at night time, and made the room quite light in the morning despite the better blinds around the bed.

Lovely accommodation. Clean and had everything you need. Fab location, easy to get to a lot of places. We were visiting bath Xmas market and Roman baths.

It’s was very cute, warm and cosy. In a quiet area with a stream running beside the cabin. No shops or people which we loved. It had everything we needed. Park and ride to Bath was close by. The Bridge Place road is the better to drive down, as the other way is single car, windy and has water running down it if raining. Giles was good to deal with, very prompt answering enquiries.

The cabin smells a bit damp and musty, needed to air it out on arrival and after being away. The decking is seriously slippery

The place was clean, lovely and quiet, easy to find and a really enjoyed our stay 😀.

At first it seemed to be very isolated down a deep forest valley, road access very tight. BATH was more accessible than we first feared. The place grew on us however.

Location was lovely. Accommodation was cosy and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. For us it was ideally located for visiting Bath and Bristol.

Spoke to Giles personally about small issue we had. Didn't spoil our stay at all

Great instructions on everything we needed to know .lovely quiet area , had a nice area to sit outside with a cup of tea and had a very comfy bed . Easy to reach attractions. Park and ride into Bath 10 mins drive.. not that far away from longleat.. (definitely worth a visit )

Not a criticism but I’d recommend people drive in from the town of Peasedown St John as coming in the other way was quite an experience..

Beautiful location and lodge. Very quiet and beds are very comfortable - we definitely want to come back as it was fabulous
