Mr Nico was personally very sincere and pleasant and spoke English better tham me. Beautiful garden and pleasant interior decoration.

Wifi and air-conditioning could have been better--but the staff tried their best to fix them. Bissau is a challenging environment.

Nice rooms in a family home compound with a shared terrace area. They're nice people, very helpful and insightful, and everything works. The location is great with a few nice restaurants/bars just metres away, and the old town a short walk. A simple, well-priced, very good place to stay in Bissau.

The house is very well-located, and the area is great. My room was large, comfortable, and air-conditioned, which was fantastic, seeing as it was April, and very hot. The shower was powerful, I was able to have washing done, and Nico was a very nice host, who was very helpful. The garden was also lovely. There’s a nice restaurant close by which has good food, ice cold beer and shows the football, for those inclined.

This isn’t a complaint, exactly, it’s very subjective, but this is a family home. My room opened onto the living room, with the dining room attached to that. The family is Nico, his wife and two kids, and his Dad There are also several ladies through the day cooking and cleaning. This is a little busy for *my* blood. I think that were I in an exterior room, or for a couple travelling together it’s would have been different, but for me, a solo traveller who felt like he was invading as little, walking through the dining room while the family were eating, I felt like I had to be friendly, sociable and jovial, and that was sometimes awkward, for me. I’m sure that for most people, this wouldn’t matter per se…

The place, close to everything, and the owner. He's very friendly and helpful. An excellent guide and person to talk to.
