The Royal Senchi Hotel and Resort

Very good location, friendly staff, nice facilities

Music from neighboring club/bar/restaurant far too loud. All day long heavy sounds were distracting and annoying. A hotel like the Royal Senchi should make sure that its guests can enjoy some tranquility and peace. Also: Rooms at building 2 very close to childrens' pool which added another level of unpleasant noise during the day. At checkout I was offered to pay the US-Dollar bill in Ghana Cedi. Turned out their internal conversion rate was inappropriately high (resulted in a 10% increase of the invoice!). My advice: Never accept the conversion that the hotel offers you, but stick to the original currency!

1 - The place is huge and has potential. 2 - The pool is top and the Dua Club is really authentic. 3 - On NYE, the fireworks were really great.

1 - The place needs to be freshen up. Everything is old in the room. 2 - There is a noisy bar next to the hotel and I must admit it was really annoying. 3 - On January 1st, the hotel was opened to outside guests who paid to spend the day at the hotel. It was a MESS. There were people literally EVERYWHERE. They had access to all parts of the resort, even close to the rooms (what about security?!?). The poolside was similar to a market. Some people were eating in the garden, close to our room. Imagine the surprise when getting out of the room?!? I understand that the hotel wants to have other sources of income but they have to think it through. We don't pay hundreds of dollars, travel hours to be put in such situations. I was really deceived. 4 - They have to widen the menu À la carte. The choices are limited 5 - It would be interesting to plan activities for Kids, especially during the holidays season.

Beautiful property and the available grounds have great potential but it still needs work to justify the price. The staff at the restaurant were great and attentive. The pool is really nice. The food was good and well portioned. The rooms are beautifully designed but not very specious.

Front office staff were not really customer oriented. Felt like another number being processed. Not the greatest experience while checking in. Restaurant/kitchen never seemed to be staffed properly and at times it took over an hour to get the meals. While having dinner one night, the hotel decided to spray the property against mosquitoes with the kids playing in the grass and people eating at the restaurant. Overall, way too expensive for what it has to offer.
