The Hen House A beautifully situated open plan chalet

Perfect from booking to leaving. Plenty of communication from the owners regarding directions and access. Beautifully laid out chalet in a perfect location surrounded by wildlife. We cannot fault this place at all everything was perfect and well thought out to accommodate us. My 8 year old daughter loved the wildlife and was lucky enough to be shown a very special pet of Matt and Lou's who has his own island, she was amazed and has never held a tortoise before so it made her day after a long drive. Simply perfect for us.

Idyllic location and perfect for a short getaway. Amazing place to get away from the hustle and bustle, situated right in the heart of nature. Hosts were incredibly welcoming when we bumped into the, but they also allowed us privacy during our stay. This was our second visit, but I'm sure it won't be our last.

Not a negative, but make sure you have all you need with you, as (which is the major pull factor), the house is very remote.

The location was in quiet village and easy to find with directions provided by host.

The facilities were good but a freezer would be beneficial. If could somehow separate/cordon off kitchen area from bedroom would be good. Balcony facing the driveway and host house took away some of the privacy was expecting.

Lovely spacious open plan chalet with everything you need for a break away. The chalet had everything and more and was spotlessly clean. The owners were welcoming and friendly and just generally overall a great break away from the busy city we’re used too!

The hen house was beautiful, clean and had all necessities for a comfy stay, hosts where easily contactable and the location is both stunning and peaceful.

The only slight issue I would raise is the slope up to the property and the steps, both were quite slippy and an elderly person may struggle - other than that a perfect stay would definitely recommend :)

Perfect location for a Christmas stay. Hosts were lovely and even decorated the lodge with a real Christmas tree and a present. Furnishings and feel of the place was spot on. Would recommend 100%. Thanks.
