The Hen House A beautifully situated open plan chalet

Nice and quiet just what we needed after Christmas. Very clean and lovely decor , had Christmas tree and outdoor lights which made that extra special touch .

It was immaculate and beautifully decorated, lots of light and helpful features. Everything has been carefully thought out to make it convenient and luxurious for visitors, but it still feels warm and cosy. The electronic blinds were a treat and the turquoise armchair is very comfy. Our 18-month old loved exploring the space and spotting nature through the enormous windows.

Nothing! Some people may find the location a little remote but we liked the feeling of being tucked away.

We only stayed the one night, but the property was well equipped, the beds and bedding were really comfortable, the furnishings & decor were lovely.

The only negative is that the underfloor heating took a while to heat up, I wish we'd realised to put it on as soon as we got there as it was quite a chilly evening

A beautiful property with plenty of space, quality fittings & fixtures, great facilities, pretty outlook from balcony, comfortable & quality bedding, all mod cons and absolutely exceptional hosts.

The kitchen had absolutely everything you need but we did fine the hob a bit tricky to use despite instructions and it seemed to take much longer to cook on compared to a normal stove top. We were also surprised we couldn’t get normal TV, however, you can log into your Netflix account thanks to their great wifi so no issue.

Lovely situation. Comfortable living and great having bbq (bring your own utensils as couldn’t see any in the property) Hound and Hare pub just short distance away excellent too!

Nothing to do with the property as such, but not an ideal set up for dogs with high prey drive - too many rabbits, chickens and cats 😁 Nice big window for dog to shout at them from!

It was a wonderful location and the house had everything we needed, we had a great stay exploring the dales every day and were extremely lucky as the sun shone continuously.

We had a slight problem with the hot water, but it was all resolved, and the hosts were extremely helpful.
