Sinharaja Wild Trails Camp - Included Rainforest Tour

We had such a beautiful stay at Forest & Fields by the Sinharaja Rainforest. Thisara, the host, runs this little gem with so much heart. The surroundings are stunning – peaceful, green, and full of life. The food was absolutely delicious, all homemade and fresh. We also had the chance to walk through the rainforest with Thisara, who shared so much knowledge about the local wildlife. It truly felt like a special and personal experience. 10 out of 10 – highly recommend to anyone looking for nature, peace, and genuine hospitality. Thank you Thisara 🌟

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty of the place! The scenery is breathtaking, with stunning views of both the rainforest and the surrounding nature. Thisara and his family are incredibly warm and welcoming. Thisara was our guide for the rainforest tour, and he made it unforgettable. He not only pointed out the many animals we encountered but also shared fascinating details about them. His knowledge is amazing! We can’t recommend this place enough! Right now, as I sit on the terrace, watching birds and listening to the sounds of nature, I can’t imagine a better way to experience Sri Lanka. Sitting on a beautiful hill do you see what I see? Or may be I'm dreaming? Because the picture not seems to be reality. Dozens of peacocks are walking. The night fog descends, revealing an incredible view of the mountains surrounded by jungle forest. And so on, so on. The house under the high trees is surrounded by the garden full of exotic plants and flowers. There is a great desire to sit all day at the cottage on a comforrable chair without moving, watching the amazing nature around. The host and his parents are very nice people. He is young and handsome,though his English is very good. He was our guide to the forest, where we spend the whole day watching various animals, insects and birds, listening to stories about them, as well as other details of the life of the relict forest Sinharaja. We have been swimming in several waterfalls. We got soaked in the rain. But we returned home happy and tired, where a delicious Sri Lankan dinner was waiting for us.

There was water running on the bathroom floor. The hygienic shower tube must have burst. But it's easy to fix. We were immediately given a mop to clean up the puddle.

This place is, by far, the most beautiful overall package on our trip through Sri Lanka! Nestled in the heart of nature, it offers a breathtaking view of the Sinharaja Rainforest and lush rice fields. Every moment here feels like a dream. Our rainforest tour with our incredible host, Thisarn, was a truly special experience—his knowledge and passion made it unforgettable. Unfortunately sink and light switches were dirty. I had wet wipes and could clean them a little. Could just do with a good clean in places. Bedding and towels clean though.

Excellent tours foods restaurant

We had an amazing stay, even though it was only for one night. The hosts are incredibly kind, and you immediately feel like part of their family. The location is beautiful, surrounded by nature, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The highlight was the delicious home-cooked food — absolutely the best! The host also took us on a fantastic hike through the rainforest, sharing their knowledge along the way. We couldn't have asked for a more memorable experience. Highly recommended!

Our stay at the edge of Sinharaja Rainforest was absolutely amazing! The accommodation offers breathtaking views from the balcony, where we could enjoy the beauty of both the lush rainforest and expansive rice fields.
