"No recomendable"

2.0

The apartment was clean and well located, close to the tram. However, the wooden floor needs improvement — it’s very noisy and gives a slight feeling of vertigo. The bedroom was quite dark because there were no lamps. There was no hairdryer, the washing machine wasn’t working, and the drying rack didn’t work either. When you stay for more than two nights, you really notice the difference and the lack of these essentials. Considering the price of the apartment, these issues really shouldn’t be there.

"We would definitely go back."

10.0

The apartment had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable, shower was hot and had good power, kitchen was stocked adequately with pans/plates/mugs etc. The location is perfect, Leith itself is lovely and you can visit the royal yacht and the leith whiskey distillery, there are some lovely pubs and cafes, quirky shops. The tram stop is a 5 min walk and that takes your straight to Edinburgh in 20(ish) mins, £5.50 for an all day tram ticket. And even a taxi to/from the centre was £9-12 depending on time/day. Host was good, good communication throughout and was contactable when needed. Perfect stay for 2 people, or maybe a couple with a small child.

"A great base for exploring this amazing city."

9.0

Great location. Roomy and warm for multiple nights stay. Well equipped little kitchen. There is a washing machine and drying rack as well.A range of great cafes, restaurants and pubs just a short walk away. Tram stop to city centre and Airport 5-10 min walk. Howard was easy to communicate with and he was flexible about check out time, which was great help for us.

The only thing I missed was a hair dryer.

"I felt comfortable, secure, at home, and happy that I chose this apartment to stay in."

9.0

The location of the apartment was perfect for access to public transport and grocery shopping. The size of the apartment was perfect for one person.

As I had just arrived from a long flight from Australia to Scotland, I did not have the conscious abilbity to remember how to acquired the keys for the property. While the details were delivered via email, they arrived after I arrived in Scotland. Personally I would have prefered to have received these details before I had left Australia so that I could have been better prepared. Although I understand the reason for delay.

"Please do not stay here."

1.0

Pre arrival communication was good. Can't complain about the location although there were rats around outside the building on arrival.

We notified the host that we were travelling as a family with an 8 month old baby. We arrived in bad weather to a damp and humid apartment, with associated abhorrent smell, with no instantly available heating. (There was a very small oil filled radiator and dehumidifier in the cupboard, which shows you there is a problem with heating and humidity in this apartment). We left immediately as this was not a comfortable environment for adults and not a safe environment for our baby as the evening temperatures were low over the weekend of our stay (low of 2C). We informed the host of our issues with his apartment to be told that if we switched the heating on the the heating system would start at 6am the next day (why was this not already switched on for the comfort of his guests?). We then had to spend a considerable amount more money to stay in suitable accommodation and asked for a full refund, which was declined by the host (although he did offer a one night refund, showing liability). We then contacted booking.com for a refund and they declined as the host didn't advertise heating as an amenity (even though there are heaters clearly shown in the pictures of this apartment). We lived in Scotland for many years and were looking forward to a return trip with our new son, only to be left floundering for heated accommodation in the wet and cold autumn season. If you would like to enjoy your time in Edinburgh, please do not stay here.
