Beautiful flat sleeps 4 in Taplow Maidenhead Near Windsor and Ascot racecourses Near Legoland

Ok. Where to begin. I don't know if we have particularly high expectations, but we have travelled a lot and stayed in Air BNBs throughout the UK and abroad. They can be hit or miss, but this was one that really didn't tick the boxes. To cut a long story short, we didn’t stay. We arrived, spent around an hour there and decided to go elsewhere. We booked into a Premier Inn nearby The description of a beautiful flat is very misleading. It is not beautiful but rather scruffy. It is in desperate need of refurbishing and wasn’t even properly cleaned. I have the photos to illustrate this point. You turn up to a building right beside the busy Bath Road. The main house really has seen better days and should be renovated, The parking area is also unkempt and not at all inviting. Interior paintwork is badly chipped, laminate floor is beginning to loosen at the edges, bedroom cupboards were grubby and there was a vacuum cleaner still full of dirt left lying around in the bedroom. The bathroom looks like it hasn’t had a decent clean in months. (Photo evidence) The oven was dirty and the cooker hood greasy. If you are going to let out a property in competition with guest houses and hotels it needs to have a really good bed, (this is very low quality) better bedding and be clean. This feels more like student accommodation and the building is like an HMO. You will find that the beds , bathroom etc haven’t been used I don’t know where we stand with regards to any refund. I have pictures to send if you think we are mistaken. I have no way of contacting the owner, otherwise I would prefer to deal directly rather than post a review. Regards Richard

Only stayed one night whilst my husband did a site job nearby and me and the kids tagged along. This is a lovely home from home - had everything we could need as a family of four and more. WiFi great, beds comfy, easy parking and temperature nice. We always take coffee / milk but was some supplied which was a lovely touch :) I really love your decor too. We plan to come back to visit the castle so would definitely try to book again!

Besides a busy fast road - kids were fine but adults struggled to sleep and woken a bit! The shower was tricky so only one of us used it.

It was very cute! Great location and plenty of parking!
