The apartment was in a great location. It was within walking distance of restaurants, museums and beautiful neighborhoods. The apartment is compact but has everything you need. The kitchen has a microwave, Keurig coffeepot, toaster and enough utensils and plates for 2 people. The bed was comfortable (not too hard) as was the couch. We had a problem with water pressure and the owner fixed it as soon as I notified him/her. We also couldn't get the heat to come on which the owner also tried to fix. We were still only able to raise the temp by one degree. It's on the 3rd floor so you do get a bit of a workout (maybe not a bad thing). Checking in and out was a breeze.

The bathroom was compact but fine. It just lacks surfaces or hooks to place anything while shaving or putting on makeup. A few hooks on the door and by the shower would help as well as a low, narrow table along the longer wall. But it was clean and functional.

This property is charming and delightfully decorated, kind of shabby chic, but more chic than shabby. They have attended to every detail to make sure you’re comfortable and cozy. The location was perfect for me as I was there to attend an event at The Branch Museum, just a block away. The bed was very comfy too.

The one disappointment for me was the noise. This apartment is on the third floor so the locking device on the apartment across the tiny hallway was quite invasive, and the people in that apartment came and went out that door at least seven or eight times tween 9:30 and 10:30, when I was trying to get to sleep. The locking device was SO loud it seemed as if people were coming into my apartment. Additionally, they have an analog wall clock in the room that I had to take down and place under some pillows to silence it. I would recommend removing that, even though it adds to the decor.

It was very nicely furnished and decorated. Clean and comfortable. Very welcoming!

Great location, quaint

Was very surprised how well maintained the property is, felt like home! Looks just as pictures offer. I WOULD NOT hesitate to stay here again. I looked for 3 nights for place to stay in the area and all had horrible reviews, this one sitting at 4.3⭐️ when searching I didn’t want to let it pass, and I’m more than happy that I didn’t. My fiancé and I was very pleased with the stay, thank you!

The bed was comfortable. The owner left us a welcome note, bottle of wine and snacks. Contactless check-in/access was easy. Walking distance to a Starbucks and diner for breakfast. Is in the Museum District - loved the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art. Wish we had had time to see more.

This is a very small walk up apt on the third floor in an older home, so pack light to avoid having to lug a heavy suitcases up 3 flights of steep stairs. It took a long time for hot water to reach the faucets. The bathroom sink was really tiny and drained slowly. The t-stat didn't seem to function to control the AC, so the room was over-cooled - perhaps instructions on how to use the t-stat would have helped. The Keurig didn't work - I assume prior visitors failed to tell the owner so he could replace it.

Wonderful little 1BR apartment. Comfortable bed, nice TV, adequate bathroom with shower. Had most of the basic kitchen amenities, such as toaster, microwave, fridge, basic utensils. Great location on a boulevard with beautiful large trees. Loved being able to sit out on the front porch. Within walking distance of an Aldi (grocery store). I have stayed there twice now and would recommend!
