Gites Rose des Vents

Great location, walking distance from the beach. Low-key, family-run place.

Parking can be difficult during the day. You are completing with beach goers.

We arrived and everything was prepared, Although the host was not there to greet us, due to our late arrival, the room was ready and accesible. The room had everything we required, a very comfortable bed and well equipped batroom with good shower. Kitchen was complete but we did not prepare any meal there. We met the host Vasco the next day and he was very relaxed and helpful. We really enjoyed the beach that was within 50 meters, pure paradise! Also: the property has a small take away Poke Bowl outlet, we did not use it but it looked very good.

Sometimes the WIFI was slow or not at all within range, so a few wifi extenders are advised, but maybe that is the whole idea: to go "off the grid". Also the toilet seat does not fit the toilet, so you need some balance skills when using it. :)

Had everything for a comfortable stay. A few restaurants on the beach and a convenience store on the main road about 100 metres to the right from the intersection

It was quite remote, the beach was stunning but had powerful waves felt uneasy swimming there

The Gites was located just 80m down the road from an excellent sandy beach

Parking outside in the small road leading to the beach was often difficult during the day, but always lots of space overnight.

The location, the ambience and convenience of restaurants a shop and of course the closeness of the superb beach of Plage de la Perle. (Location of the Detective Inspectors cabin in Death in Paradise)! Oh in series 12 episode 8 a major scene was shot on the balcony of the Gite👍(Calypso singer with guitar) The host’s Sofia & Vasco made our 3 weeks a very enjoyable holiday. The fact it was only 50mts from the beach for a nightly Ti Punch ‘sundowner’ was fantastic. The studio was spacious and comfortable. the housekeeping excellent. Sofia’s sushi (Monday to Friday) is a fantastic culinary experience.

The neighbouring cockerels morning wake up calls. Although we got used to it and it became the norm!
