Perfect location with the most stunning view! It was a spacious room with little table on the terrace with a great breakfast spread just making it the most delightful morning. Everyone was super nice too. They were waiting for us outside when we arrived and offered to store our luggage upon check out. We parked at the garage where we could walk in. You can cut through the stairs but I would only suggest that going there/down! Take the main road back to your car.

Our host, Domico, is so hospitable. We informed that we will be arriving around 6pm but due to some delay in the car hire, we arrived around 6.45pm. While walking towards the direction of the apartment we were surprised to be greeted by Domico who has been looking out for us and helped us with our luggage. That gesture is already a 5 star treatment and very welcoming. The apartment which is situated in the cave part of Matera,has a good view of the old town and can be reached quite easily by taking the local Sassi bus from the public car park at the outskirt of the town. The bus run every 30 minutes and the apartment is at the last stop of the route. The old town has traffic restriction. You have to be mindful of luggages cause there are stairs to climb which is expected in the old town of Matera but let the owner knows earlier and I am sure he will help you with it. In any event it is not too much to reach the apartment cause it is just like 30 steps, I think, from the ground level. Alternatively we were informed by other guest that they left their big bags in the car and bring a small bag for their stay in Matera. This we did not do and only if you are comfortable with leaving your luggage in the car parked in a public car park. We had a typical Italian breakfast which start us for the day at the reception area inside a cosy cave and served by Domico's wife, how personal can you get. If you are deciding where to stay, just book and you will not be disappointed.

Wunderschöne, sehr saubere Unterkunft in Bestlage.

Great family owned hotel. Great family who go out of their way for guests. The rooms really are in a cave with a posh view. Fantastic location at the end of the road in the sassi.

Don't use Google Maps to get there. Unless you want to walk the city prior to your arrival. It cannot navigate the the walking paths. Get specific directions from the owner on the route from parking to the hotel.

L'accueil est chaleureux, avec un couple très gentil et souriantL'emplacement est idéal avec une vue splendide sur Matera. La chambre est magnifique, avec une literie de grande qualité et un design incroyable. Enfin, le petit déjeuner compris est très complet avec charcuterie, fromage, yaourt, viennoiseries, salade de fruits
