The lodge was absolutely amazing. Sandra and Steve were brilliant. Absolutely spotless on arrival and a beautiful place to stay. Will definitely be booking again!!!!

Walking into the caravan was very pleasant, it was clean and well presented and you can tell the owners care about the property, the hot tub was in good working order and easy to use. It really was the main reason we booked that particular property for our stay so it held up its end of the bargain. The beach is very close to the caravan, its under a bit of construction and the walkways aren't clear yet but its lovely to have it close. We parked out front of the caravan as well, not all caravans had parking so that was nice to have the car close when packing and unpacking. Kitchen had everything you needed and depending on how long your stay is there is a washing machine which could be used. There isn't a tumble dryer but there is an airer so if the weather is nice it can be quite useful.

The site fee, in the description it states, 'Please note there is a fee payable for the entertainment and pool.' This is payable to the site. My interpretation of this is, if you want the entertainment and pool you need to pay extra (not a problem) however upon booking you receive a form which outlines the fees based on the number of people arriving and in the text you receive prior and on the day you must report to guest services to pay the fee, 'Guest registration forms need to be printed out & completed before your arrival & any applicable fees paid directly to guests services upon your arrival at Golden sands.' We paid an extra £80 to the actual site. if it is an essential fee, you should really change your wording (in your texts and messages) as its not clear. I was not given the option to use or not use the services at check in so the fee was applied to us, depending on your budget it is good to know before you book rather then after. When we arrived we had to make up the second bedroom, sheets were available but as we had specified the number of guests it was a shame it wasn't already done. The sheets in all rooms were a velvet sort of fabric, they slid everywhere, and the fitted sheet being the same material helped the mattress move too, not ideal if you have fidgeting sleepers.

The Away Resort is very different in this location compared to others we have used in the past- some very fruity smells at times

The property is absolutely amazing,great location and the caravan is stunning,everything you need and more,lovely and clean . Hot tub is a fabulous extra,the owners are a really friendly and lovely couple along with their cavapoo Ted make you feel very welcome,we can’t wait to return
