Comfortable room with great views | Good restaurant

Staff were excellent and super helpful. Sitting quietly at breakfast time was a pleasure.

I had feared that the punt crossing to the beach was going to be a problem, but it was always available and staff were helpful and happy to accommodate.

Very good small hotel in a lovely location, with helpful, friendly staff. Our room overlooked the water and was very clean and comfortable, with a balcony. The pool was clean and pool towels provided. The restaurant is on an island 50 metres away and reached by a small boat, punted by staff. Food was good, with a range of choices. There’s room service available for breakfast and dinner and there was a table and chairs in the room. Decent Wi-Fi. Ask for a room in the hotel ( there are some rooms on the restaurant island) so you won’t need to keep being punted across for the pool etc…) We used the laundry service, it was good value and clothes returned in 24 hours.

Rubbish is disposed of by burying it on the beach! The beach at the hotel isn’t really usable as a holiday beach. The local fishermen come every morning and haul in the nets by hand, and local men come for a bath. We didn’t mind this at all, watching the fishermen was interesting and they attracted big numbers of birds, which was great, but if you want to sunbathe, Kovalam beach is a 10 minute Tuktuk ride away.

Lovely relaxing location, and the boat trip to our accommodation and the restaurant was novel Super friendly staff, nice room and good restaurant It’s a short way from the main beaches but easy to get transport to there, or take an hour walk along the seafront which is quite interesting. It’s nice and quiet as a result Pool is lovely too, perfect temperature

Lovely view from our room. Good seafood. Friendly, helpful service. Great massage. Interesting to watch the fishermen pull in their catch in the shore nets. The peaceful boat crossing for meals ...across the backwater... we only ever had to wait a few minutes.. very relaxing

The beach is apparently not safe for swimming, and no super easy to get to from the main part of the hotel is the boatmen are not available...though mostly they are available at very short notice.
