Novotel Bangka Hotel & Convention Centre

I feel this is the best option to stay on Bangka. The staff is incredibly friendly.

Blood stain on the mattress (only saw this on the last night) and undefinable stains on the pillows. The blood stain on the mattress is what makes me to give this hotel a 4. I feel like housekeeping would have had to see this, while making the bed on day one and each consecutive day that they made the bed after that. It is not acceptable to let a guest sleep on this with only one sheet to cover it up. It was disgusting.

Very comfortable room, with comfy bed, and all expected amenities. Property has a great swimming pool. The restaurant was excellent with full range of delicious local and international cuisines. Staff were attentive and courteous. I enjoyed my stay and would return.

The location is somewhat cut-off from town, but the hotel property is within a well-secured compound.
