YoLo Pool Bar Villas & Garden Restaurant

We really loved the location of the hotel and the amazing working AC as well as the exceptional staff! They were super friendly and helpful and the 24 hour check-in is an absolute plus! Also it’s possible to rent a scooter for a good price.

Our guests Kien and Phuong were very welcoming and made us feel part of the family. They also arranged our tour to Botanical gardens, Paradise cave and Phong Nha cave as they own one of the tour companies in town. We were picked up and dropped off outside the accommodation. The room was clean and tidy with a large bathroom and great hot water. The bed was very comfortable which is always a bonus when travelling. YoLo is a short walk or bike ride to town if you want to go to other restaurants, cafes, massages or local market stalls. Kien and Phuong hosted a Luna New Year party while we were there and invited us as well as other guests to join them. We got to experience wonderful food and drink with their friends. We had a fun night. The following evening they invited us to eat dinner with them. We enjoyed this experience and can't thank them enough for sharing it with us. It will stick with us for along time and we will most definitely come back to stay there.

The surroundings are beautiful and it’s well located to access the boat station for the Phong Nha cave, and the cave experience was magical (get the ticket that includes both caves when doing the boat trip!). It is a short walk (~20 mins) into the main town which I knew when booking and this didn’t bother us, we like a stroll. Breakfast was great, lots of choices and big portions. They also picked us up from the bus stop at 4am, which was very kind and we really appreciated. When the weather is nicer this property will be fantastic - we didn’t get to use the pool but it looked great.

Unfortunately, because of the humidity, nothing dried whilst we were there - including the bedding. Everything outside of our bags was damp and did not dry until we moved on. Climbing into a damp (I’d say almost wet) bed each night with damp pillows and waking up in a damp bed in the morning was a bit demoralising. I’m not sure how they could fix the damp problem, but the AC unit didn’t heat or dry, so some sort of dehumidifying unit is definitely necessary in this season.

A lovely family, they are all extremely nice people, they helped me organise a tour! I love the garden and there is a pool, free breakfast was delicious.
