Host Stay New Street

A decent, comfortable property well placed for a short walk to local shops, pubs and restaurants. Dedicated parking space was a huge bonus even if our long estate car jutted out a bit (not a problem as it’s a short cul-de-sac with little or no car or pedestrian movement). Local street parking is 2 hours only and parking generally in Canterbury is difficult. Very nice friendly pub with decent beer and garden nearby - The Monument.

Great super quiet location,great facilities

The house has a central location and is a short walking distance to the town centre and corner shop (Sainsbury's). Lovely house with a quiet neighbourhood. The house was well-equipped for our stay. Travelled with 2 adults and 2 teens. Kids loved their beds and had good night sleep. Managed to cook a couple of times during our stay and had pots and pens that I needed.

My only gripe was the house having dust and dust bunnies on the floor. If we are charged a cleaning fee I would have expected the property to have at least the floors properly hoovered (incl. under the beds) and mopped which was not the case on our arrival. Luckily there was a mop bucket and I managed to mop the house but I feel it is something that should have been done prior to our arrival. Having said that apart from this mishap we had a lovely stay and would happily go back.

It is conveniently located. Nice and clean house.
