Annexe above garage of owner’s home: wonderfully quiet, surrounded by tree scape. Very relaxing and cosy once heating issue sorted out.

Toilet and shower room downstairs rather than on level of living space.

The location was fine, we chose it as we know the area. We made our own breakfast which was perfect. We did not meet our hosts but did not need to.

It was not stated in the description of the property that the shower room and toilet were downstairs. We are both 85 years old and this was most inconvenient. The shower room needs towel rings either side of the basin for hand towels, and a towel rail near the shower to hand your towel on whilst you are showering, also a hook to hang your dressing gown on. The bed was comfortable but the bedlinen was very poor quality. The hessian mat in the bedroom was not nice and dangerous as it curled at the edges. The kitchen was poorly equipped i.e. no glass tumblers, no vegetable knife, no egg cups, no bread board.

Comfy bed.. good location as long as you have a car.

The main concern was the £300 deposit which was taken (not held) from my credit card a week before arrival and kept until a week after departure - I have never paid this to any accommodation before. Because of their obvious concern for their property, I was expecting something amazing but sadly found fairly basic accommodation with no pictures on the walls or nice touches. The kitchen was poorly equipped with no coffee making facility, milk jug or chopping board and we had to wash many of the dishes and glasses before use. Has the potential to be so much better.

Comfortable bed. Quiet location.

Tv didn't work (resolved later). Woken early daily by garage door being opened. Limited kitchen facilities. Bathroom is downstairs and was always cold. Accidental damage deposit of £300 seems excessive when our 4 night stay didn't cost much more than this. Think it would deter some people from booking as we thought twice about it before booking.
