Tree Hotel at Iffley

It was a nice room and tidy but no facilities. Very little toilet roll, less than half a roll. No heating whatsoever and No staff. A kind man who was in the separate building came and helped us and let us into our room. But there was no receptionist. Without the gentleman we wouldn’t have been able to get in even though we had paid.

It was close to where we were visiting

The room was cold, wooden floor with no carpeting added to the room being cold. The bathroom door would not shut and was cold.

La situation géographique et la literie

La douche qui n'a pas fonctionné correctement de tout le séjour et qui n'a pas été réparée. Le chauffage dans la chambre était beaucoup trop fort et non réglable. Le petit déjeuner n'est servi qu'a partir de 8h00, et encore, quand la cuisiniere est présente, autrement ils vous font attendre 45 minutes sans rien a manger, ni a boire. Je ne vais pas continuer car il y aurait beaucoup a dire et meme si je savais que réserver un hotel ayant une note de 5.5 ne serait pas forcément un excellent séjour, je ne m'attendais pas a un tel niveau de médiocrité, et surtout un service quasi inexistant.

The linen was clean and bed quite comfortable .

The hotel is very old and in a lot of disrepair. From very dirty carpets to wallpaper ripped off the wall furniture over worn and paint peeling in many places. There was no vegetarian full breakfast available and the breakfast served was small portions the full English was just two slices of turkey bacon one egg and baked beans. Dirty plates were on the landing floor when we arrived and still there when we departed. Very long curtains covered the radiator and made the room very cold until lifted to allow heat into room not out the windows.

On the web site it says full English how ever this is not the case as it Halal, which is fine but it does not state that on the web site so no pork, sausages there are chicken or turkey only.

The restaurant on site is Indian food only, so if you don’t want Indian food then you have to drive out to find somewhere else to eat.

The hotel needs to improve a lot. The room should not be rented out. No fire escape and exit sign on the bedroom door.this is a legal requirement. bedroom walls not in good condition Bathroom wall tiles are coming off the walls shower, not working Bathroom in very bad condition. They advertise full English. Sorry, but two chicken chipolata, one small chicken rashers, one not cooked egg, and beans are not a full English breakfast.

In the middle of a refit and can see where they have ungraded. The food was amazing
